GOLD
Gold futures fell by 0.21 per cent to Rs 28,148 per 10 grams today as participants indulged in
reducing exposures, largely in tandem with a global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, Gold for delivery in August, fell by Rs 59, or 0.21 per cent,
to trade at Rs 28,148 per 10 grams in a turnover of 18 lots. On similar lines, the metal for
delivery in June shed Rs 54, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 28,535 per 10 grams in 389 lots.
Globally, gold lost as much as 0.19 per cent to USD 1,299.70 an ounce in Singapore.
SILVER
Silver futures fell by 0.57 per cent to Rs 42,175 per kg today as speculators engaged in trimming
positions, tracking a weak trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May traded lower by Rs 241, or 0.57
per cent, to Rs 42,175 per kg in a business turnover of 855 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in July declined by Rs 243, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 42,935
per kg in a business volume of 39 lots. In the international market, silver traded 0.71 per cent
lower at USD 19.49 an ounce in Singapore.

COPPER
Copper prices rose 0.24 per cent to Rs 416.90 per kg in futures trade today, as speculators
created positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June traded higher by Rs 2.20, or
0.24 per cent, to Rs 416.90 per kg in business turnover of 217 lots.
Metal for delivery in April edged up by Rs 1.15, or 0.21 per cent, to Rs 405.55 per kg in 3,132
lots.
CRUDE OIL
Crude oil futures rose by 0.42 per cent to Rs 6,276 per barrel today as speculators created fresh
positions amid a firm trend in Asia.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in April gained Rs 26, or 0.42 per cent,
to Rs 6,276 per barrel, with a business turnover of 1,135 lots.
The oil for the May delivery moved up by Rs 17, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 6,262 per barrel, with a
business volume of 187 lots.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude oil for the May delivery advanced by 33 cents at
USD 104.09 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

CORIANDER
Coriander prices rose by 0.67 per cent to Rs 9,635 per quintal in futures trade today as
speculators created fresh positions on rising demand in the spot market against restricted
arrivals from producing belts.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, coriander for delivery in May rose by Rs
64, or 0.67 per cent, to Rs 9,635 per quintal with an open interest of 42,020 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in June gained Rs 59, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 9,836 per quintal in
27,030 lots.
TURMERIC
Turmeric prices moved down by 1.35 per cent to Rs 6,556 per quintal in futures market as
speculators booked profits after fall in demand at prevailing levels in the spot market.
However, reports of rain damaging the crop in growing areas of South India restricted the fall.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in May fell by Rs
90, or 1.35 per cent, to Rs 6,556 per quintal with an open interest of 12,565 lots. Likewise, the
spice for delivery in April lost Rs 78, or 1.18 per cent, to Rs 6,525 per quintal in 12,565 lots.
